The article investigate the effect of revenge porn, an act of sharing sexually explicit media online without the consent of the pictured individual, on its victims and discusses how society has treated predominately female-felt crimes inflicted by partners. Topics discussed include tangible and abstract effects that victims of revenge porn experience; legal remedies available to revenge porn victims in the U.S.; and need of regulations targeted at revenge porn in the country.
