- Abstract
The article presents a primer on sexting for pediatricians to be able to counsel teenagers and parents about its dangers. Topics discussed include three general themes for engagement in sexting by adolescents such as initiation of sexual activity with a boyfriend or a girlfriend, girls subjected to pressure, coercion and blackmail, and things that pediatricians can do like develop their knowledge base on digital technology and topics like sexting, and take careful sexual histories.
