- Title
CLASS, GENDER, AND GENRE IN ZALMAN KING'S "REAL HIGH EROTICA": THE CONFLICTING MANDATES OF FEMALE FANTASY.
- Authors
Andrews, David
- Abstract
The article situates film director Zalman King's oeuvre by outlining a set of intersecting generic histories and then turning to texts. After briefly surveying his aesthetic, it details the diegetic patterns. Unlike the Red Shoe Diaries serial, which has been treated by several scholars, his early features have not been adequately critiqued. Consequently, they serve as the primary objects of the analysis, with Two Moon Junction as the default text.
