- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 57-year-old man who was referred with deep furcation exposure and wide mobility of tooth #3 as a result of generalized chronic periodontitis. The case describes the rehabilitation of a single edentulous site in the right posterior area of the upper jaw of the patient with an ultra-short, sintered porous-surfaced (SPS) implant. It also shows the importance of proper surgical, prosthetic, and hygienic management for long-term survival of SPS implants.
