- Abstract
The article offers information on the challenges posed by modern terrorism for Law enforcement. Case of mass psychogenic illness is an effect of a perceived chemical or biological attack, resulted in a significant depletion of law enforcement personnel and resources, and increase in public anxiety. Details related to the case of "Toxic Bus," which became an eye opener for the Canadian law enforcers are presented, followed by discussion on how to prevent a terrorist attack. It is mentioned that rumors of chemical or biological terrorism are potent triggers of public anxiety. The fear and uncertainty during a perceived attack should be dealt with precise actions and decision making.
