- Abstract
The article discusses the similarities and difference of leptospirosis with falciparum malaria. As defined, leptospirosi is a disease caused by pathogenic spirochetes. It was noted that it was always difficult to differentiate the disease from some other tropical diseases due to nonspecific symptoms and similarity in clinical presentations. On the treatment of the two diseases, addition of ampicillin/amoxicillin has helped on reducing the morbidity and mortality in patients.
