- Abstract
The article discusses the results of a study revealing a novel skin anti-photoaging property of ginsenoside Rb2 through evaluation of a scavenging activity on reactive oxygen species (ROS) and a diminishing activity on matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) in the human epidermal keratinocytes under UV-B irradiation. Findings suggest that Rb2 is a potential candidate as a natural resource for manufacturing anti-photoaging cosmetics.
