- Abstract
Reports on the synthesis of aligned carbon nanotubes on the inner surface of an iron ring through microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition at the low temperature of 570 degrees Celsius. Finding that, under the effect of plasma, carbon nanotubes can be grown in a direction always perpendicular to the surface and point radial-inward; Self-focusing ability of the aligned carbon nanotubes during field emission; Growth of aligned carbon nanotubes on the surface of an optical fiber.
