- Title
Negotiating Authorship for Doctoral Dissertation Publications.
- Authors
Morse, Janice M.
- Abstract
The article discusses the methods to determine graduate schools authorship on dissertation publications. In order for a student to claim a publication as a singled authored dissertation research work, the student needs to make proposal writing, conduct research and must have the ability in writing and defending dissertation in the absence of any alterations done by the committee. Based on the rulings of authorship attribution, the principal investigator must be positioned in the first ranking since conceptual contributions rank over technical contributions.
