- Abstract
This article aims to advance theoretical knowledge about the performance of International New Ventures (INVs). This theme has been treated from a multidisciplinary perspective, with studies following research streams related to marketing, entrepreneurship, and international business. Due to this diversified nature of the studies, there is a certain fragmentation in the literature that triggers the need for the development of a conceptual framework that integrates interdisciplinary efforts and that can fully explain the performance of INVs. Having identified this gap, the present study proposes a conceptual framework composed of the main organizational characteristics present in the literature of international new ventures, that is: international experience, entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, network relations, and dynamic capabilities. Thus, it is expected that this framework will be tested in future empirical research, generating advances in the literature from a holistic view about the elements of INVs' performance.
