- Abstract
In this study, the effects of kombucha mushroom extract on the growth of Agaricus bisporus and Pleurotus ostreatus mycelium were investigated. Kombucha mushrooms usually ferment black tea. It is formed as a result of the symbiotic combination of yeast and acetic acid bacteria. Also called Manchurian mushroom. The effect of Kombucha Mushroom extract on the growth of Agaricus bisporus and Pleurotus ostreatus mycelium was the subject of this study. In order to obtain the extract of kombucha, 60 g of sugar and black tea were added to 1 liter of water and it was fermented for 14 days without direct sunlight. The extract obtained after the fermentation process was divided into 4 different groups as 50cc, 75cc, 100cc and control groups. These groups were then added to the Patetes dextrose agar medium. Agaricus bisporus and Pleurotus ostreatus mycelial agar discs were inoculated into the prepared media. Mycelial growth was monitored by measuring zone diameters for 10 days. Mycelial growth was observed in the control group and in all the media to which the extract was added. After 10 days of incubation, the growth was better detected in the media with kombu extract compared to the control group.
