- Abstract
The article presents a study which presented the results and methodology used for the compilation of an atlas which focused on the risk of desertification in Italy. The study described desertified area and sensitive land. It used Driving force-Pressure-State-Impact-Response (DPSIR) framework as a reference. It created the atlas by using the national soil information system and socio-economic layers. The study revealed that 51.8 percent of the country is considered to be at potential desertification risk.
