- Abstract
The article discusses a study that analyzed commodity mutual funds (CMF) performance for hedging and portfolio diversification. Topics covered include examination of risk-adjusted performance as to investment strategy in superior risk-adjusted rate for funds including equity energy mutual funds, precious metals and natural resources as to selectivity and market timing. Findings indicated benefits for investors in such fund categories during distressful economic times for positive gross gains.
