- Abstract
Optimizing and adjusting the structure of water supply and use is essential for social and economic development. Based on the data from water resources bulletin, regional statistical yearbook, and water affairs statistical yearbook, this study takes the development and utilization data of water resources in a certain region as the research object, based on the analysis of the spatial and temporal variation of water resources in this area. The results show that the increase of domestic water consumption is due to the increase of population in this area, and with the development of economy and society, the development of ecological environment has been paid great attention to, since 2004, its water consumption has increased rapidly, becoming the second largest type of water consumption in the region. Water footprint and information entropy can accurately reflect the evolution law of water use structure in this area. Comparing the water footprint of different years, the water footprint of agriculture and industry decreases with the increase of years, and the water footprint of life and ecology increases with the increase of years, the proportion of ecological water footprint increased by 21. 44%, while that of domestic water footprint increased by 6. 41%.
