- Abstract
The Sino-Russian east route natural gas pipeline project is currently the largest transnational gas transmission pipeline in China. Ensuring the safe and stable operation of this section of the project is of great significance to safeguarding the economic interests of both natural gas suppliers and demanders. Through the on-site monitoring and numerical simulation of the slope in the transit section of the Sino-Russian east route natural gas pipeline project, the changes of slope temperature and displacement in the transit section slope within one year were monitored, and then combined with the means of numerical simulation, the effects of freezing process and melting process on slope stability were analyzed. The results are as follows: the soil within the depth of 1. 5 m on the slope surface of the crossing section is vulnerable to freezing and thawing. After the first freezing and thawing cycle, the maximum slope displacement of the crossing section slope can reach 30 mm, and can develop to 0. 1 ~ 0. 15 m after 20 freezing and thawing cycles. The effect of freeze-thaw cycle on the safety factor decreases with the increase of freeze-thaw cycle times, with the maximum value of 2. 96 and the minimum value of 2. 5. This study has guiding significance for the safety maintenance of the transit section of the Sino-Russian east route natural gas pipeline project.
