- Abstract
The article discusses what the author refers to as black actors and interest convergence in superhero motion pictures in relation to African American actor Morgan Freeman's portrayal of the film character Lucius Fox in several of the "Batman" films which were directed by Christopher Nolan between 2005 and 2012. The views of film director Spike Lee are addressed, along with the stereotype of the "Magical Negro" character in motion pictures and symbolic racism in America.
