- Abstract
The effects of silanol hyaluronic acid compound (SHAC) on the expression of 8 skin barrier related genes and the synthesis of 2 skin barrier related proteins were studied by qRT-PCR and immunofluorescence methods. The expression levels of FLG, LOR, IVL, KRT10, KRT16, TGM1, CLDN1 and OCLN genes in keratinocytes after 24 h culture were detected at appropriate sample concentration, and the expression levels of ZO-1 and CLDN1 proteins in keratinocytes were also detected. The results showed that the expression of IVL, TGM1, OCLN and CLDN1 could be significantly promoted at an SHAC concentration of 0.625%, while the expression of OCLN and TGM1 could be significantly promoted at an SHAC concentration of 2.5%. Especially when SHAC concentration was 0.625%, CLDN1 gene expression could be significantly promoted. When SHAC concentration was 0.625%, CLDN1 protein content was significantly increased, but no obvious effect was observed for ZO-1 protein. The results show that SHAC has potential barrier repair function.
