- Abstract
Objective: To understand and interpret the experiences of nursing teachers in the practice of Breastfeeding (BF) Methodology: Text narrative and context in this way the participants have every opportunity to report Results: Two experiences composed of 6 narratives, where evidence that the health team is responsible for encouraging and promoting the mother's BF Conclusion: The profile of the health professional is to enrich the knowledge and actions that help the autonomy of mothers in the care of their children and their self-care Although it is a physiological process, it needs learning and proper monitoring for it to be successful, which is influenced by a variety of factors that must be taken into account when dealing with breastfeeding families, both in clinical and community settings. Education remains a powerful tool, which must be used to create a true BF culture in our societies.
