- Abstract
The article presents a study on Erysipelothrix infections in stray dogs in Japan. It mentions about different strains in the genus Erysipelothrix, that is a pathogenic bacterium and states that dogs develop endocarditis after intravenous inoculation. Also described is the methodology of the study, in which serum samples from stray dogs reveals that Erysipelothrix infections can cause endocarditis and arthritis in the animals.
