- Abstract
This article details a study on carabidae as predators on the pupal stage of the chrysomelid beetle, Phytodecta olivacea. The pupal stage occurs only once in each year. The beetles pupate and also hibernate later as adults under broom bushes. The researchers found out that in the laboratory, Feronia madidus would soon ear pupae confined with them. Moreover, using the precipitin test, traces of such meals could be detected for up to 48 hours after being taken.
