Going green costs less than you think.
- Abstract
The article discusses the report titled "Energy Efficiency in Buildings: Business Realities and Opportunities," by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). The report reveals that major companies in real estate and construction industry miscalculated the cost and benefits of green building. The study suggests that the true cost difference of constructing sustainable buildings is only 5%, three times lesser than the estimated additional cost of 17%. In addition, the study also determined that only one out of seven industry respondents take part in green building programs.
