- Abstract
This article focuses on the prevalence of occupational contact dermatitis in hairdressers. There is little information of how much the dermatitis that hairdressers get affects their working lives. The first and earlier study was designed to investigate the prevalence of dermatitis among student hairdressers at two technical colleges. Their hands and forearms were to be examined by their course tutors each month and details recorded on a questionnaire: drop-outs and threatened drop-outs due to dermatitis were to be notified.
