- Abstract
In this article, the author discusses role of motivation for changing healt behaviour in people who are unwilling to health-promoting behaviors. It states that social psychological theories assume a degree of motivation for change when applied to health behavior change to promote action by converting motivation into action. Other topics discussed include Self-determination theory, behavioral engagement, and transtheoretical model.
