- Title
Childhood chronic daily headache: a biopsychosocial perspective.
- Authors
Newton, Richard W.
- Abstract
The author comments on a study which examined the biopsychosocial aspects of chronic daily headache (CDH) in children. He claims that CDH in children may help promote an understanding of the mechanisms underlying the symptoms of children presenting in hospitals. He argues against the study researchers' use of the term somatization, and instead recommend illness behavior. However, he supports them in viewing CDH in a biopsychosocial manner.
