- Abstract
While our patient had a history of streptococcal infections, postinfectious scleredema is typically self-resolving, which was not the case in this patient whose skin condition continued to progress to involve new areas. Clinicians should be aware of the differential diagnosis of SSS and its discriminative features as prompt recognition of SSS can result in earlier treatment and improved patient outcomes.
