- Abstract
The article presents a study which evaluates the impact of pesticide exposure during operational locust control on the distribution of native avian species in eastern Australia. The study used the Birds Australia Atlas-provided data from 1998-2002 and created linear models to project avian occurrences. The results show high variability of predicted avian species during locust control operations in which 108 out of 280 species are included at the top 20 projected species for each event.
