- Title
MODELING MOVEMENT PATTERNS OF THE CYANOBACTERIUM, MICROCYSTIS.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article presents a study on the movement and growth of Microcystis aeruginosa, the most common genus of cyanobacteria, which is analyzed using the developed model that simulates its movement pattern. Environmental processes including lake heating, cooling and turbulent mixing are simulated to examine the bacteria's response to environmental variability. Microcystis population is predicted to form surface blooms and increase buoyancy despite low temperatures during autumn and winter season.
