- Abstract
The article focuses on a study on populations of rare species. It is noted that to illustrate how nonparametric and parametric logistic regression can yield predictive models of the probability, four rare plant species endemic to southern Appalachian high-elevation rock outcrops were used. It is stated that absences from subplots were only included while absences beyond the current geographic range were excluded.
