- Abstract
The study aims to verify the moderating effect of time pressure on the relationship between information overload and satisfaction with choice in the recruitment and selection of a candidate for a job vacancy. An experiment was carried out with 137 graduate students in Human Resource Management. The results show that the subjects exposed to the condition of information overload and temporal pressure present the lowest indexes of satisfaction with their choice after a decision-making process. The contribution of this research is that Human-Resource managers and other areas can understand how these variables influence satisfaction and reevaluate the decision process in order to minimize the risk of the decision and also to maximize satisfaction at the end of the decision-making process.
