The article provides an overview of Sections 23A and 23B in the Volcker Rule provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act under the Federal Reserve Act in the U.S. It explains that Sections 23A and 23B regulate transactions between affiliated entities and insured depository institutions. It discusses the primary changes made by the Dodd-Frank Act in the country. It details the effects of the amendment for banks and their affiliates in practice.
