- Authors

- Abstract
This editorial offers an opinion on the relevance of cost-effectiveness analysis to clinicians and medical policy makers. The author asks if cost-effectiveness information is useful in actual decision making and if the information is used correctly. The article maintains that cost-effectiveness analysis requires allocation of a fixed budget across all competing programs and that is not possible in the field of health care.
