- Abstract
The article explores the use of software application tools to enhance online student engagement and academic achievement, particularly in the CIS 110 computing technology course at the CIS Department at Mount Olive College in North Carolina. The study describes the development process for an online self-pace tutorial for teaching students. The researchers cite potential constraints to self-pace tutorial such as Internet access, update of MS Office software application and browser compatibility.
