- Abstract
The article provides an overview of the history of the 16-year project conducted by the Saint Lucia government and the Rockefeller Foundation to identify the strategy to control locally-endemic schistosomiasis mansoni in 1965. The three primary control methods tested include the installation of household water supplies, environmental and chemical snail control, and targeted chemotherapy.
