The article discusses the case of a patient with a brachial plexus injury without shoulder dystocia. It was agreed that the injury could not have been caused by traction if the left arm and shoulder were delivered first. The judge handling the case concluded that he accepts that in few cases brachial plexus injury may be caused without form of applied traction.
