- Title
The African Connection.
- Abstract
The author discusses African writers and literary works in the 1960s. He notes that the anthology "Modern Poetry from Africa," edited by Gerald Moore and Ulli Beier, is comprised of verses by Africans that all read alike. The author states that the Nigerian poet Wole Soyinka has tried to make his gift active in the political scene, while the westernized writer Peter Oblesie pays respect both to the ancient world of the Ibo and the world of individual choice in Western Democracy.
