- Abstract
The article reports on the commemoration of the 125th anniversary of the completion of the National Assembly Building in Québec, designed by architect Eugéne-Etienne Taché. The building was completed in 1886 and was designed to contain British and French architectural traditions and reflect the duality of the province's cultural and constitutional position. It also notes the application of French decorative design elements and the English and American influences.
