The authors discuss the use of psychiatric tertiary referral in clinical decision making. Topics discussed include difficult and unreliable diagnosis of psychiatry, analysis of psychiatric problems through intuitive or analytical approach, and building of frame for tertiary assessment including reassessment itself, time and information gathering and multiple minds.
