- Abstract
The article explores Additive manufacturing (AM) provides a tremendous opportunity to synergistically couple materials, design, and manufacturing strategies. One can strive toward fabricating parts with targeted properties by enabling site-specific metal-metal or metal-ceramic compositional transitions. Parts with site-specific composition and hybrid microstructures are relevant in an application space where certain sections.
