- Authors

- Abstract
As Isabelle Casta writes in Nouvelles mythologies de la mort (Champion, 2007) "killers, juristes, coroners and vampires knock at the Other-World's doors, which have been opened by criminal novel, supernatural story and heroic fantasy". But icelandic spectral voices distinguish themselves : from saga to skotta (fantômette in French) realism is prevalent and forbids compromises with glorification and fantasy. In Iceland, exchanges between the dead and the living belong to a specific "ethos" besotted with genealogy, "in reality like in fiction", and registered in a domestic cosmogony.
