- Abstract
The article offers poetry criticism of the poem "Danse Macabre" by John Lydgate. Topics discussed include repetitive nature of the poem and its compulsive narration of death, its representation of trauma caused due to warfare, its inclusion of an historical event called the plague and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) caused due to trauma. Other topics include relation between agency and tragedy highlighting causes and effects of French war and inevitability of death.
