- Abstract
The article discusses the importance, current situations and challenges of internationalisation of law schools in Australia. It presents information on a study conducted by the International Legal Education and Training (ILET) Committee of the Australia's International Legal Services Advisory Council (ILSAC) related to legal education. It examines the strategies and initiatives taken by Australian law schools for internationalising their law curriculum. It reflects on the opportunities of globalisation of legal education in the emerging field of global law firms and global lawyering. It emphasized that Australian law schools should avoid complacency in the internationalisation of their Bachelor of Laws degrees in the present scenario of increasingly global market for legal services.
