- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 25-year-old woman who had been experiencing abdominal discomfort, fever, and weight loss for 3 years. It mentions that after extensive diagnostic evaluations, including abdominal imaging and biopsies, the diagnosis was determined to be an aberrant infection with Enterobius vermicularis (pinworm) in the spleen, leading to abscess formation. The article discusses the rarity of this condition and the diagnostic challenges it poses.
