- Title
This is the End…: OR IS IT? WRITING THE END OF A SCREENPLAY.
- Authors
Piper, Christine
- Abstract
The article presents views of several screenwriters about what constitutes a good film ending. Billy Marshall Stoneking is of the view that the ending should be credible. It should be organically connected to the journey that the characters have made. Sarah Watt, while talking about her feature film "Look Both Ways," says that one of the challenges regarding the ending of the film was structure. It was a bit hard to make it all realistic while at the same time making it optimistic, even happy. Barbara Masel likes endings that provide her with material to speculate about.
