The article introduces the July 2006 issue of "GLQ: A Journal of Lesbian & Gay Studies," which focuses on different forms of art and writing and is dedicated to Willie Walker, founder of the GLBT Historical Society. The articles feature contemporary artist Glen Ligon, drag activist Robert Legoretta (aka Cyclona), and an installment of Jill Dolan's Feminist Spectator blog. Topics include Ligon's representation of cruising and public spaces in Texas and Legoretta's story of queer Chicano culture in California.
