The article discusses and analyzes records relating to eighteenth century Mennonite leader John Bowman or Johannes Bowman concerning his residence in Strasburg Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The author examines the claim that John Bowman and later Bowman generations lived in a log house located on Beddington Lane in Strasburg. The article discusses and provides excerpts of documents related to the land grants of the Mennonite leader's sons John Bowman Jr. and Casper Bowman for property near Little Beaver Creek in Strasburg.
