The article offers the author's insights regarding the strange familiar and familiar strange in anthropology. The author references the work of Melford Spiro who wrote the attribution of making the familiar strange and the strange familiar to a good poetry as regarded by S. T. Coleridge. The author cites that the process of the exotic becoming familiar was recognized by Bronislaw Malinowski through anthropological ethnographies.
