- Abstract
Mumps infection has some rare complications, such as myocarditis, nephritis, pancreatitis, orchitis, and hearing problems. The main neurological complications of mumps infection are reported to be meningitis, encephalitis, myelitis, cranial nerve involvement, and, rarely, polyneuropathy. In this article, a 12-year-old male patient with mumps infection associated with acute longitudinal myelitis and Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) was described and discussed with the literature.
