- Abstract
Miles Kerr-Peterson, A Protestant Lord in James VI's Scotland: George Keith, Fifth Earl Marischal (1554-1623) To control his earldom, Marischal continued the course of his predecessor, his grandfather Earl William, which was largely moderate and Protestant-sympathising. In his monograph, Kerr-Peterson rebalances the role of Marischal which recent historiography had marginalised at the expense of Aberdeen burgh council and ministry.
