The article discusses the wrongful convictions of people with intellectual disability. Topics discussed include the Cruel and Unusual Punishment Clause of the Eighth Amendment in relation to the case Atkins v. Virginia, the exonerations recorded by the U.S. National Registry of Exonerations, and the involvement of people with intellectual disability in murders.
