- Abstract
The article focuses on various issues related to rescission of health insurance policies. It says that the practice of rescinding and canceling insurance policies has earned congressional and national attention in the U.S. since 2004. It states that an insurer can rescind an insured's policy if they discover any material misrepresentation in an insured's insurance application. Information on important concepts and terms such as medical underwriting and post-claims underwriting is offered.
